PROGRAM INTRODUCTION

PROJECT INTRODUCTION

Love Europe? Learn English in Dublin, Ireland!

Ireland is one of the few countries in Europe, along with the UK and Malta, where English is an official language. Although its history is painful, having been under British rule for a long time, it shares similar cultural traits with the UK and uses English as a common language. Because of this charm, Ireland offers the chance to experience European city life while learning English at a relatively low cost, making it a popular choice for students from Europe, South America, and beyond.

1. Get long-term language training at 40% less than usual language course prices!

When you're serious about learning a language and want to study abroad for an extended period, cost is often the biggest concern. That's why we've prepared a project to help you study English properly through a long-term language course without worrying about the cost. By enrolling in the Academic Year course, which lasts 8 months, you can study English in Dublin at about 40% less than the usual cost (*based on 15 hours per week of afternoon classes; see the cost guide below for more details). Plus, apartment rental prices in Dublin are about 30% cheaper than in London! If you're looking to ease the financial burden while enjoying European city life and learning English, come to Dublin!

2. Study and work part-time! Earn and spend your own living expenses!

Another major advantage of studying in Ireland is that, unlike in the US or other European countries, getting a student visa is not very difficult. If you take a language course for more than 25 weeks, you can work up to 40 hours per week for 8 weeks with a student visa. For long-term language courses, you can save about 40% on tuition fees, earn money through part-time jobs to cover your living expenses, and actually use the English you learn at school while working—a win-win situation! So, don’t let costs hold you back from studying abroad!

Starting in 2024, Ireland's minimum wage will be €12.70 per hour, which is about 18,000 KRW. This is similar to the £11.44 minimum wage in the UK (as of 2024), but since the cost of living is much lower in Ireland, you can comfortably cover your living expenses by working part-time. The language school also offers a free Jobs Club activity to help you find part-time work, so no need to worry about finding a job!

* Full-time work (40 hours per week) is allowed during holidays from June to September, and from December 15 to January 15. During other periods, you can work 20 hours per week while on holiday.

3. Hub of European travel! Learn English and explore Europe!

Ireland is full of hidden gems that aren't as well-known as other European tourist spots, making it a great place for those who love to explore. Plus, since it's right next to the UK, you can easily pop over to visit England, and it's a great starting point for trips to many other European countries. Especially if you fly with budget airlines like Ryanair, you can travel around Europe even more affordably. Many students studying in Ireland take advantage of this to explore Europe during their stay. Start your European adventure from Dublin!

 4. Friendly people, a city of music, and the relaxing pleasure of a pint of Guinness.

In Ireland, people are so friendly that it's said they'll greet you just by making eye contact on the street. It's also known as one of the European cities with the least racial discrimination. Moreover, Dublin's streets are filled with historic pubs, unique street musicians, galleries, and theaters, making it a paradise for culture lovers. And for those who enjoy a good pint, Ireland is the home of the famous Guinness beer, a must for beer enthusiasts! After class, join your friends from all over the world and explore Dublin, immersing yourself in the rich Irish culture!

ACCOMMODATION

ACCOMMODATION INTRODUCTION

For accommodation, you can choose according to your personal preferences as an additional option. If desired, we can book accommodation linked with the school, though additional costs may apply depending on the options.

Usually, for short-term programs of up to 12 weeks, it is common to choose accommodation that matches the duration of the language course in advance. For long-term programs of 16 weeks or more or the 8-month Academic Year course, it is typical to start with a homestay for the first 8-12 weeks to help with initial settling in and rapid language improvement, and then, once you have adjusted to the local environment, you can freely choose according to your budget and preferences.

 Homestay

Experience living with an Irish family to deeply learn about Irish culture, communicate in English with your host family, and create meaningful memories! Homestay is the most popular form of accommodation for students. Most homestays are located in the suburbs, requiring about 30-50 minutes by public transport to reach the city center. All homestays are directly managed by the institution, so you can feel secure.
