PROGRAM PROVIDER INTRODUCTION

INSTITUTION INTRODUCTION

Established in 1962, this organization is a global travel service company headquartered in Switzerland, offering over 290 multinational travel programs in 47 countries worldwide. These travel programs have an age limit (18-35 years), creating a dynamic and vibrant atmosphere typical of young travelers. For the past 50 years, they have been dedicated to creating authentic travel experiences for young people from Australia, New Zealand, the USA, Canada, major European countries, Japan, Singapore, Taiwan, Brazil, Mexico, South Africa, and other countries.

* Multinational travel: This involves experiencing more than one country and culture, rather than traveling within a single country and culture.

[Institution Story] 'Gap Year' – Discovering New Business Opportunities

In 1961, a young New Zealander named John Anderson went to London for a European trip. With a limited budget, he thought it would be better to travel with others rather than alone. He rented a minibus and started gathering people to join the trip. (This was before the era of social media!) He completed a 12-week European tour with the young travelers he gathered and had an amazing time. Unable to forget this experience, John Anderson planned another European trip, this time forming two teams to travel together. Through his European travels, John Anderson discovered the business of bus tours and went on to establish a global travel company. Today, this company has become the largest travel agency in the world, creating a travel culture for young travelers.
