FIELD INTRODUCTION AND ACTIVITIES

Our volunteer program caters to individuals who are passionate about making a difference and possess a generous spirit,for those do not want to be spending the whole time inside the office and want to go out and expore the world. We offer internship positions in the following fields

Meal Distribution: Help prepare and distribute meals to vulnerable populations, such as the homeless or elderly, ensuring that everyone has access to nutritious food.
Community Events: Assist in organizing and facilitating community events, to promote social cohesion and engagement.
Shelter Support: Providing assistance with basic needs, organizing activities for residents, and offering a supportive presence to those in need

Volunteering in community support initiatives with KGY allows you to directly impact the lives of local residents and contribute to the well-being of underserved communities. From assisting in meal distribution programs to organizing community events, your efforts play a vital role in fostering a sense of unity and support within the community.

Tutoring: Provide one-on-one or group tutoring sessions to students in subjects like English, math, science, or computer skills, helping them improve their academic performance and confidence.
Classroom Assistance: Assist teachers in classrooms by preparing teaching materials, supervising students during activities, and providing individualized support to students with special needs.

Nowadays many students feel a lot of stress and societal pressure to succeed. As a result, many students don't pursue their dreams and make rushed mistakes concerning their career paths. What is a GapYear?

It refers to a period in which students experience activities such as volunteer work, travel, career exploration, education, internship, and start-up while finding interests and aptitudes and setting a future career path while temporarily taking a break from studying or working.

In the case of the house rental culture in Korea, we charge refundable deposit for utilities such as water, electricity, gas, and management fees. You may perceive it as expensive compared to elsewhere just by considering the room price alone, but we assure you that it is a reasonable price when everything is included!

PROCESS AND REQUIREMENTS

Beginning your Internship journey with Korea GapYear (KGY) is an exciting and straightforward process to make your experience both enjoyable and enriching. Here's a step-by-step guide to how it all works.

Welcome to the KGY VOLUNTEER Program – where every step of your journey is carefully crafted to ensure a fulfilling and unforgettable experience!

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS

Age: 18+
Level of English and/or Korean: Intermediate+
You are a university student or are graduated
There is a correlation between your studies and/or work experience and the planned Internship
Commitment to Host Organization, its rules, and tasks
You fulfill all legal and formal requirements for your Internship

NOTE

Details about working conditions such as days and hours may vary depending on the company being placed.
Interns will not work on public holidays in South Korea. (If you starting date is a Monday it follows on a red day you will be working the following day)
Only available for age over 18+
Potential Company Placements Information will not be given out prior to confirmed application due to privacy reasons.
All Internship positions are unpaid
