Grow

I can see the children’s changes with my own eyes, and I feel that I am part of that change. I work with multinational volunteers and local staff, experiencing cooperation and communication. My confidence that “I can live in a broader world” grows stronger. I feel that volunteering goes beyond simple assistance and leads to my personal growth. It’s gradually becoming clearer how this experience will affect my career and values. I learn skills to understand each child’s individual traits and provide tailored education. I develop educational curricula using various activities like singing, art, and physical education. I build my ability to collaborate with local coordinators and other volunteers. I feel deep satisfaction watching the children’s growth. Volunteering becomes more than an experience; it becomes part of my life’s values. I take time to deeply reflect on my future. My practical abilities in problem-solving and leadership improve. My perspective broadens to embrace diverse cultures as a global-minded person. I gain a conviction that I can make the world a better place. Seeing the children’s rapid development and change, I come to understand the meaning of “sustainable aid.” As I become familiar with the people and culture of Zanzibar, my respect for others’ lives deepens. I feel a responsibility that the small knowledge I teach the children can become a seed that changes their future. Living with friends from Europe, I bring their free and relaxed way of life into my own daily routine. My view of the world broadens, and I begin to ask myself what meaning I want to add to the life I will live.
