# A good activity to distribute food to those in need without wasting it

After arriving at Lisbon Airport and coming out to the gate, I saw someone holding a sign. The name on it was different from the organization I had been told, so I asked again and was told it was correct, and I then went with George to the accommodation.
The first day was for rest, and the second day was orientation.
I wish they had told us the time in advance; I went up to the third floor that morning and only then asked about the orientation time and learned it. Since I was in a single room, I regretted not receiving information well.At orientation they introduced activities to be done there, like youth support, Refood, and picking up trash from the sea, and presented useful information to know about Lisbon. There were friends from Canada, Hong Kong, the United States, Scotland, and Korea, and we had time to introduce ourselves. Most were in their early twenties.
After lunch we went on a city tour together; on the way we bought transit cards and topped up SIM cards. I was grateful they took care of these details. On Tuesday evening we went with the staff to the Refood site to get an explanation and helped with activities every evening from 7 to 9. We picked up food such as bread, soup, and drinks from nearby markets or government cafeterias and portioned out what was needed. I think it''s a good activity that distributes food to those in need without wasting it.

On Thursday we paid 38 euros and went on a group tour with the people there. We went to Cascais and Nazaré but it was a bit disappointing because it rained. On Friday evening we went to see fado, which was very enjoyable. It was a time to experience Portuguese culture!

Alex made pancakes and Hee-young and I made Korean pancakes (jeon), and we had a pleasant time. In the evening we drank delicious wine and talked a lot.The lunches and dinners provided there were tasty, but because the accommodation wasn''t nearby, to eat you had to take a 30-minute tram or bus back to the lodging, which was inconvenient. (I often craved Korean ramen and cooked it. You can buy it at Chinese grocery stores in the city^^)
Of course I made enjoyable memories with people from various countries, but the accommodation had no soundproofing—bathroom noises and doors opening could be heard—so it was difficult when people moved around early. Before traveling I wanted to know about the amenities provided there, like towels and hairdryers, and it was disappointing that this wasn''t clear.
