Explore your dreams in Thailand, one of the most beloved travel destinations in the world! This tourism internship project is designed for those who want to gain diverse experiences on a global stage. After gaining hands-on experience in hotels and restaurants in Thailand, where countless people from around the world visit, you'll start dreaming of a future with even greater possibilities.


 

1. Create your own unique experience that stands out globally with hands-on experience in Thailand.

Cities like Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Phuket, and Hua Hin each offer unique attractions, making Thailand a major tourist destination where you can meet countless travelers. Especially in hotels and restaurants, where people from around the globe gather, Thailand is the perfect stage to pursue a career in tourism, travel, F&B, concierge, or the service industry.

Spend six months participating in practical work in Thailand, experiencing a variety of challenges, learning, and successes. The diverse experiences you can only gain on-site will not only help you grow but also provide a special competitive edge when preparing for new career opportunities.

 

2. Create unforgettable memories in the beautiful and unique country of Thailand.

Thailand is renowned for its unique and beautiful culture that has been preserved for a long time. Project Activities

 

This project is a tourism internship program that allows participants to gain hands-on experience in key tourism and service industries, such as hotels and restaurants, within Thailand. Participants will work locally in Thailand, accumulate various job experiences, and gain opportunities to challenge themselves in a broader job market.

 

Main Activities You will intern at prestigious hotels and restaurants in major cities across Thailand. You will gain practical experience in various fields such as front desk, kitchen, and F&B.
Activity Locations Bangkok, Phuket, Hua Hin, Chiang Mai, Samui Island, and other major tourist cities in Thailand.
Program Duration The internship program will last for 6 months.

 

Eligibility Criteria Adults aged 18-27
Students majoring in hotel management, tourism, or culinary arts (*must be enrolled in an educational institution at the time of application)
Proficiency in conversational English

 

The application process for this project includes an interview. The interview will be conducted in English, and if you do not pass the interview at your preferred city’s institution, you may be assigned to another city.

 

Accommodation
Accommodation is provided in hotel staff quarters or external apartments. You will share a room with 2-4 people, and you may be responsible for public utility costs.
If accommodation is not provided by the local company, additional lodging costs may be covered by the activity support fund.
Meals Meals are provided during activity hours. If you have dietary restrictions due to allergies or other reasons, you will need to arrange your own meals.

Additional Information

  • This project runs year-round, and participant spots are limited per period, so it is advisable to apply with about a 6-month lead time. Participants will join an internship program in hotels and restaurants in major cities across Thailand for 6 months.

  • On average, you will work 48 hours per week (1 day off during the week). This may vary depending on the assigned institution.
  • Activity support funds of approximately 10,000 ~ 17,500 baht per month (as of 2023) will be provided. This is an approximate amount and may vary depending on the institution and field of assignment.
  • An orientation before the project starts will provide useful information needed during the internship period.

ACCOMMODATION

Accommodation Introduction

 

You may stay in staff-only accommodations provided by the local activity organization. The availability of accommodations depends on the assigned organization and field, and if the organization does not provide housing, we will assist in arranging accommodations. The type and conditions of the accommodation may vary depending on the local situation and region.

 

■ Hostel

This is a type of accommodation where the kitchen, bathroom, and shower facilities are shared. Rooms are shared by 4 to 8 people, and you'll be staying with friends from all over the world. The advantage is the opportunity to meet various travelers and have a great time. Share stories and make friends from different countries.

 

■ Studio

This is a typical studio apartment. It is equipped with basic furniture for everyday living and provides a private living space. You can choose between a single room for more freedom and independence or a shared room to save on budget, depending on your personal budget and preferences.

Payment by Installments

For those who cannot pay the full amount at once, you can pay a registration fee of 500,000 KRW in advance and pay the remaining balance within 2 weeks. Based on the date of the registration fee payment, we will proceed with the process to confirm your participation and check availability. Securing a spot as soon as possible is important for your desired dates and duration! (No refunds once confirmed)

* However, if the start date is approaching, the schedule for paying the remaining balance may vary.

 

Early Bird Discount and Emergency Application

We recommend applying for Gap Year projects at least 3 months before the project start date due to the standard processing procedures and preparation time. Applications should be submitted at least 2 months in advance. However, if there are urgent reasons or if you need to participate urgently, you can use the emergency application service by paying an additional fee to expedite the process.

* While we will assist with expedited processing, please note that there is essential time needed for communication with local agencies and confirmation procedures. Emergency applications will follow the same procedures as regular applications, so cooperation with the Gap Year Operations Team is required.
