PROJECT ACTIVITIES
1. This project will be conducted in Spanish and English.

If you do not speak Spanish, having some proficiency in English will be very helpful for the project.

Since the classes are conducted in Spanish, having basic knowledge of Spanish will be very helpful for the class.
2. Spanish Classes
- The project can start every Monday.
- Classes consist of 25 lessons per week, with each lesson lasting 45 minutes.
- On the first day, participants will be assigned to a class suitable for their level through a placement test, and tailored classes from basic to advanced will be provided.
- The first day will include an introduction to school facilities and orientation, followed by lunch with students and teachers and a city tour.
- Classes are conducted in small groups of 3 to 8 students, providing ample participation opportunities for each student.
- Upon completing the course, a certificate will be awarded with the participant's Spanish level and completion time.

Spanish, the second most spoken language in the world after Chinese, is used in most South American countries, and its popularity is increasing along with the growing importance of the South American market. Learning Spanish in South America, where it is cheaper than in Spain, can be a significant advantage, as evidenced by the growing exchanges between South American countries.

INSTITUTION INTRODUCTION
This Spanish language school, with branches in various cities, has been teaching Spanish to foreigners for decades and established a branch in Puerto Madryn in 2012. The school is conveniently located in downtown, just two blocks from the beach, making it an ideal spot.

ACCOMMODATION INTRODUCTION

■ Dormitory
The dormitory is located within a 10 to 20-minute walk from the project site, where you will stay with local and international students. It provides a bed, fan/heater, wardrobe, and storage. The dormitory does not provide meals, but you can use the shared kitchen and cook.

■ Homestay
Homestays are located about a 10 to 25-minute walk from the project site, where you live with a local family, directly experience the culture, and have the opportunity to improve your Spanish skills. LOCATION INTRODUCTION
ㅣ Location : Argentina, Puerto Madryn
Puerto Madryn, a beautiful area where the Atlantic Ocean stretches out coolly before you. The Golfo Nuevo surrounding Puerto Madryn has calm waters where many southern right whales come to breed and care for their young. Puerto Madryn is 1,329 km away from Buenos Aires, Argentina’s capital, and takes about 16 hours by car. The summer in Puerto Madryn is very hot, but the weather in spring and fall is cool. Also, due to significant temperature differences, you need to pay special attention to your clothing.
2. Punta Tombo
This place is a habitat with an uncountable number of penguins, and many tourists visit to see the thousands of penguins that gather from October to March. You can see penguins digging holes in the ground, wandering around from the holes, and going to the shore to eat. Visit the world's largest penguin habitat where penguins waddle around, and enjoy the fragrant sea breeze.
3. Lobo Larsen
At Lobo Larsen, you can enjoy a unique experience of snorkeling with sea lions. Under the professional guidance of the staff, participants can safely enjoy snorkeling and move to areas where many sea lions are gathered, allowing you to swim surrounded by sea lions. Enjoy snorkeling in the pristine natural beaches of South America! The opportunity to play with sea lions is a special bonus for you!

If full payment is difficult, you can make a prepayment of 500,000 KRW and pay the remaining amount within 2 weeks. The process for confirming participation will be conducted based on the date of the prepayment, and you will be notified of your participation status and availability. To participate on your desired dates and duration, it is important to secure your spot quickly! (No refunds after confirmation of participation)

■ Early Bird Discount and Emergency Application Information
It is recommended to apply for all Gap Year projects at least 3 months before the project start date due to the standard processing time and preparation period. Applications should be made at least 2 months in advance as a principle. However, if you need to apply urgently or have unavoidable reasons, we offer an emergency application service for an additional fee to expedite the process as much as possible
* Although we strive to expedite the process, please note that there will be basic time requirements for communication with local agencies and confirmation of participation. All procedures will be conducted the same way as with regular applicants, so those using the emergency application service must actively cooperate with the Korea Gap Year operations team.
