PROJECT INTRODUCTION
Experience learning English and working in Auckland, New Zealand, a city rich in natural beauty. This job training project allows you to work and gain employment through a working holiday in the rejuvenating city of Auckland. This project is essential for a successful working holiday!
New Zealand, a rapidly growing multicultural country, offers a variety of job opportunities for working holiday makers. Each year, New Zealand hires numerous working holiday makers, allowing them to work in various positions. Auckland, being the largest city in New Zealand, is a hub for many opportunities. The minimum wage in New Zealand is NZ$22.70 (as of 2023), which is about 18,500 KRW. New Zealand boasts one of the highest minimum wages in the world, ranking 4th globally. You can work up to 40 hours per week, with the minimum wage guaranteed by local laws. Working full-time for a month could earn you over 3 million KRW at the minimum wage. Students participating in the New Zealand working holiday can find part-time or full-time employment suited to their English proficiency, allowing them to save a significant amount of money.

Staying in a homestay is the best opportunity for students to quickly improve their English skills in a stable environment. The homestay families are school-certified and provide opportunities to learn about New Zealand culture while living with the host. Homestays include breakfast and dinner on weekdays, and breakfast, lunch, and dinner on weekends. The accommodation is approximately 45-60 minutes from the school.

Auckland is the largest city in New Zealand, offering a variety of international events, festivals, concerts, and exhibitions. It is well-equipped with world-class restaurants and cafes. With its beautiful harbor, islands, beaches, and parks, Auckland combines a natural, eco-friendly environment with the conveniences of a major city.

■ Mount Eden
Just as Jeju Island has its own volcanic hills, Auckland has several, with Mount Eden being the highest. Known as Eden Hill, it stands 196 meters tall. From the summit, you can enjoy panoramic views of Auckland. The impressive feature of this peak is its crater, which, last erupted 20,000 years ago, now has a 50-meter-deep depression.

Waiheke Island, famous not only in Auckland but throughout New Zealand, is a renowned getaway for global celebrities and wealthy individuals, such as Lady Gaga and Bill Gates. For those who find it difficult to pay the full amount at once, you can pay a deposit of 500,000 KRW and the remaining balance within 2 weeks. Based on the date of the deposit, the process for confirming participation in the project will proceed, and availability and spots will be checked. It is important to secure your spot as soon as possible to participate on your desired date and duration! (Refunds are not available once confirmed.)

■ Early Bird Discount and Urgent Application Information
It is recommended to apply for all Gap Year projects at least 3 months before the project start date to ensure proper processing and preparation. Applications should be made no later than 2 months before the start date. If you need to apply urgently due to unavoidable reasons, additional fees apply for expedited processing.
* While we strive to assist with expedited processing, there is basic time required for communication with the local institution and confirmation of participation. Therefore, participants using the urgent application service should actively cooperate with the Korea Gap Year operations team.
