PROJECT ACTIVITIES
Project Activity Schedule
This project allows you to live in Dubai, the 'New York of the Middle East,' for a month, make various international friends, and learn English. Enjoy your own special gap year in Dubai, one of the world's best travel destinations!
- Option A: 15 lessons per week (3 lessons per day)
- Option B: 30 lessons per week (6 lessons per day)
* You can choose between Option A (15 lessons per week) or Option B (30 lessons per week). On average, there are 10 students per class (maximum 18).
* Each lesson consists of 45 minutes of class and 15 minutes of break time.

Additional Information on Activities
- Participants are required to take an online level test before the project begins. They will attend classes appropriate to their level, alongside international friends from various nationalities. Class times will be scheduled for the morning or afternoon based on the participant's level. If you have a preferred time slot, please inquire before applying, and we will assist in checking availability.
- On the first day of the project, an orientation will be held, providing a comprehensive guide to the school and living arrangements. You will have the opportunity to interact with new friends from around the world.
- Tests and feedback are provided every Monday and Friday.
- The instructors are qualified professionals from English-speaking countries like the USA and the UK. The classes are conducted using British textbooks, allowing students to learn British English, following a British English curriculum. Upon successful completion of the course, participants will receive a certificate of completion.

ACCOMMODATION INTRODUCTION
Accommodation is provided in the form of a hotel-style residence. It is a premium hotel residence for international students in Dubai, offering a cozy space with a modern concept. The rooms are well-organized with comfortable bedding and a study desk for efficient use. Enjoy a special time away from everyday life in this comfortable space.
Accommodation with a great view is available in single or double rooms, depending on the students' preferences. The residence offers communal areas within the apartment-style accommodation.
The residence is located about a 30-minute drive from the school. As the residence is commonly used by international students, a shuttle bus service is available to transport students to the city.

LOCATION INTRODUCTION
Location: Dubai
Amazing Dubai beyond imagination! As a world-renowned tourist city, Dubai has a diverse population, with 80% of its residents being foreigners. One of the seven emirates of the United Arab Emirates, Dubai is open to foreigners and offers excellent accessibility to and from various countries. Although Arabic is the official language, the multicultural nature of the city means that English is widely used, reducing language barriers and making it a convenient city for foreigners. Additionally, Dubai is well-known for its low crime rate and good security. The city also has well-developed public transportation, making it easy to get around and explore.
■ Planner's Tip
Dubai experiences very little rain throughout the year. The winter season lasts from October to May, with relatively mild weather, making it a great time to visit. The summer season, from June to September, is much hotter. For this reason, Dubai has well-developed indoor tourist facilities and excellent air conditioning. Air-conditioned bus stops are also provided in the city for bus passengers.

The United Arab Emirates is an Islamic country. While Dubai is open to various cultures due to its significant foreign population, the legal system is strict, and penalties for breaking laws are severe. Please exercise caution for a safe gap year!
Public drinking is prohibited. Even being visibly intoxicated in public can result in fines or imprisonment. There is a zero-tolerance policy for drunk driving. While there are no specific dress codes for foreigners, it is advised to avoid excessive exposure in public places due to the Islamic culture.
Additionally, there is increased enforcement against behavior that violates Islamic culture. Affectionate behavior between men and women in public should be avoided, and homosexuality or homosexual attire is prohibited. Foreign religious activities are only allowed within designated religious areas, and missionary activities are illegal and punishable.* Ramadan (Islamic fasting month) During Ramadan, Muslims fast from dawn until sunset, and foreigners are also prohibited from eating, drinking, or smoking in public places and streets outside of designated restaurants.

If you are unable to pay the full amount, please make an advance payment of 500,000 KRW and settle the remaining amount within 2 weeks. The process for confirming your participation will begin from the date of the advance payment, and we will check availability and TO. It is important to secure your spot early to participate on your preferred date and period! (No refunds once participation is confirmed)
* However, if the start date is approaching, the schedule for the remaining payment may vary depending on the situation.
■ Early Bird Discount and Emergency Application Information
All Gap Year projects are recommended to apply at least 3 months before the project start date due to the normal processing procedures and preparation period. The principle is to apply no later than 2 months before the start date. However, if there is an urgent need to participate in the project, you can use the emergency application service to pay an additional fee for faster processing.
* While we will assist with the fastest possible processing, there is a basic amount of time required for communication with local agencies and for confirming participation. Since all procedures are the same as for regular participants, those using the emergency application service must actively cooperate with the Korea Gap Year operation team.
** Those who apply more than 180 days before the start date can receive an Early Bird discount.
