PROJECT INTRODUCTION
Start a one-month stay filled with the aroma of wine in Bordeaux, the world’s top wine-producing region in France!
Bordeaux, a port city in southwestern France, is home to numerous wineries that produce famous wines.
But Bordeaux’s charm is not limited to its wine. Close to the Atlantic Ocean, Bordeaux has long been a hub of active trade and has grown with traces of diverse cultures and history, earning it the nickname ‘Little Paris.’ It’s a city full of sights and activities.
Experience the relaxed pace of Southern Europe, the beautiful Atlantic nature, and the long history and aromatic wine of Bordeaux. Each day spent in this city will offer you a completely new and different daily life.
Bordeaux is world-renowned for its wine. Just hearing the name brings wine to mind for many. You can easily and conveniently enjoy Bordeaux’s renowned wine not only at nearby wineries but also at restaurants and bars throughout the city.

Bordeaux has about 6,000 wineries and produces around 9,000 types of wine each year. With 280,000 acres—twice the size of Seoul—all dedicated to vineyards, it truly is a wine paradise.

With 4 hours of classes per day, you can gradually learn French from the basics. Study hard to improve your French skills! Using the French you learn in class in real life will make your time in Bordeaux richer and more enjoyable.

- Check-in and check-out are typically the Sunday before the project starts and the Saturday after it ends. (For homestays, check-in is after 5 PM on Sunday, and check-out is before 12 PM on Saturday. Additional charges may apply for check-ins or check-outs outside these hours. For residences, check-in is generally after 2 PM, and check-out is before 11 AM. It’s considered one of the most charming cities in France and has a strong academic atmosphere, attracting many students. Live a new life in Bordeaux and discover the charm of Bordeaux that you never knew before!

1. Bordeaux Winery Tour
Bordeaux wine is renowned for its deep color and rich aroma, making it one of the finest wines in the world. Some of the most famous wineries, such as Château Margaux, are located in Bordeaux.
Bordeaux tourist information centers and various companies offer winery tours, making it easy and convenient to visit wineries. Explore the vast vineyards, taste the fragrant wine, and enjoy the most Bordeaux-like experience in Bordeaux!
2. Bordeaux Water Mirror
The name Bordeaux means 'near the water,' and in the center of Bordeaux, there's a very special square that brings you close to the water. The Water Mirror, reflecting the historic buildings and blue sky on its clear surface, is one of the most famous tourist attractions and photo spots in Bordeaux.
While watching children splash around in the cool water under the midday sun is delightful, the Water Mirror's charm truly comes alive after sunset. As the red sunset fades and darkness falls, the sparkling night view is reflected, creating a doubly enchanting scene. Don't miss Bordeaux's most beautiful moment.
3. Bordeaux Wine Museum
In Bordeaux, known as the wine capital of France, there is a wine-themed museum where you can learn everything about wine. The Bordeaux Wine Museum, "Cité du Vin," is a must-see with its iconic building designed to resemble the swirling of wine in a glass.

■ Payment in Installments
If you are unable to pay in full, you can make a deposit of 500,000 KRW first and pay the remaining amount within 2 weeks. After the deposit is made, the process for confirming participation in the project will proceed, and we will check availability and openings. To secure your desired date and duration, it is important to secure your spot quickly! (No refunds after participation is confirmed)
*Note: If the start date is near, the payment schedule may vary depending on the situation.
■ Early Bird Discount and Urgent Application Guide
We recommend applying for all Gap Year projects at least 3 months before the project start date to allow sufficient time for the application process and preparation. However, if you have urgent reasons or need to participate in the project quickly, you can use the urgent application service by paying an additional fee, and we will assist you with the process as quickly as possible.
*Although we strive to assist you as quickly as possible, there is a basic amount of time required for communication with the local organization and confirmation of participation. All procedures are carried out in the same way as for regular participants, so those using the urgent application service must actively cooperate with the Korea Gap Year operations team.
**If you apply 180 days before the start date, you may be eligible for an early bird discount.

**Note: In case of ultra-urgent applications, there may be no openings depending on local circumstances, and the process will be handled according to the Gap Year refund policy. Additionally, any issues arising from the participant's non-cooperation will be the participant's responsibility.
