PROGRAM INTRODUCTION

PROJECT INTRODUCTION

This program is available for participants aged 16 and above and allows you to simultaneously engage in soccer training and English studies. Do you dream of becoming a professional soccer player? Or do you want to receive soccer training abroad? Seize various opportunities by training and studying English in Manchester! Many participants who come here aspire to become professional soccer players. Additionally, you can take English classes to improve your skills for playing abroad. Choose a duration that suits you, from 2 weeks for experience to 22 weeks for substantial improvement in both soccer and English skills, and train in Manchester!

*If you wish to study at a university for a year while receiving soccer training, please contact Korea Gap Year (koreagapyear@gmail.com) for individual inquiries.

1. A proven coaching staff with verified skills, made up of former professional athletes and A-level coaches.

The coaching staff of the soccer team has significant influence on the team. Even if a team is composed of highly skilled players, if the coaching staff's capability does not support them, the team may underperform. Conversely, even if the team is composed of less skilled players, good management by the coaching staff can lead to better-than-expected results. Thus, the coaching staff is crucial.

The coaching staff for this program is highly qualified. The head coach has 14 years of experience as a professional player and holds a UEFA-A license, the lead coach has about 20 years of experience including professional playing and coaching, and the director has a UEFA-B license with around 25 years of experience in youth soccer program management. Additionally, there are skilled coaching assistants who will train alongside you. The coaching staff are verified experts committed to enhancing your soccer skills.

*UEFA License: A coaching license required for professional coaches by UEFA, with levels such as Pro, A, and B.

2. Plenty of opportunities to debut as a player in European leagues!

Do you want to debut as a player in European leagues? Take advantage of the soccer showcase conducted in this program, as well as the professional clubs, international soccer scout agencies, and local soccer clubs associated with this organization!

During the biannual soccer showcase, you can fully display your skills and abilities to professional club scouts and representatives. If you catch the eye of a scout, you may be invited to participate in the club's entrance test. The entrance test increases your chances to showcase your abilities, and the format varies by club. Additionally, the program occasionally invites experts such as Premier League coaches and fitness trainers for special training. You can also join local soccer clubs for extra training and participate in regular league soccer. Utilize the various opportunities in the program to advance as a professional player!

3. Learn soccer and English alongside players from around the world.

Participants from around the world who are passionate about soccer join this program. Improve your soccer and English skills by training with carefully selected participants. Being with friends from around the world 24/7 will significantly improve your English skills. Additionally, free activities offered by the language school in the evenings are perfect for creating memories beyond soccer. Enjoy experiences in Manchester that you can't have in Korea with multinational friends.

The academy is actively operating to this day.

The head coach of the academy holds a UEFA A license and has experience working with Liverpool FC. The institution where English classes are conducted was established around 2006 and has been teaching students from around the world for over 15 years. The four directors running this institution each have different skills and areas of expertise, which they use to create the best educational environment for students. Thanks to their dedication and passion, this institution serves as more than just a place to impart knowledge.

ACCOMMODATION

Additionally, you will share a twin room with another participant in the same program, fostering strong friendships even after training.

Weekday breakfast and dinner provided & weekend meals provided / 2-person shared room (twin room) / Desk for homework / Towels and bed linens / Wi-Fi / 20 - 45 minutes from the school

  • Host families provide laundry service once a week for participants. The number of laundry services can be adjusted after discussing with the family.
  • The institution supports transportation only between the school and training facility; transportation costs from the accommodation are to be covered individually.
