PROGRAM INTRODUCTION

PROJECT INTRODUCTION

This project is a volunteer activity in Rome, Italy where we explore various paths to confront the climate crisis and work with global volunteers tprotect the Earth's environment. If the efforts of each individual come together, we can lead to significant changes that cannot be achieved alone. Discover the time to protect our beautiful planet!

There are issues that can only be solved when all people living on this planet join forces. Not only environmental issues but also climate crises that trigger a chain of numerous social problems are among these issues. It is extremely difficult to break the complex cycle of problems alone. That is why NGOs in Rome, Italy are making every effort to create a community to solve these problems together.

Cooperation and solidarity are necessary not only for this moment but also for the future. Become a member of a community in Rome, Italy that is striving to make the world a better place! Spending time with like-minded people to create change will help you find a new path in your life.

Change begins with the result of small actions accumulated over a long time. It does not come all at once, but if you act and practice consistently, it will definitely return as a significant achievement.

Experience the reward of living actively in Rome, Italy. Your small efforts to prevent the climate crisis can strengthen the connections within the community. Let's work together today for a better future!

Friends who walk together toward the same goal become a great strength to me. Meet supportive friends who help you tackle seemingly unsolvable problems!

After spending time brainstorming with volunteers from around the world in Rome, Italy, and working together, you will discover new hope. Even when you return to daily life, you will be able to grow the hope you carry in your heart from your place in solidarity!

Expand your perspective by working with international environmental organizations. If you are interested in environmental issues or dream of working with environmental organizations, you can gain the experience you need in Rome, Italy.

Environmental issues are challenges that require global cooperation. We must understand and accept each other more. Interact with friends from a broader world and think and act in similar ways. As your perspective broadens, there will be more opportunities to surpass your limits and advance your career.

Escape from the hectic and exhausting daily routine from morning till night, and enjoy leisurely and relaxed days. Spending time in Rome, Italy, with a more relaxed daily life can help you alleviate complex thoughts and endless worries. When life becomes more relaxed, you will have time to reflect on yourself once again.

Through this relaxed time, embrace the wounds you had not noticed before and take care of yourself better. The time you spend in relaxation will be an opportunity to grow into a better version of yourself.

* This project is a small-scale activity, and the availability of participation may vary depending on the desired application period. If you wish to apply, please do so quickly!

PROGRAM LOCATION INTRODUCTION

LOCATION INTRODUCTION

| Location :   Italy, Rome

The saying "All roads lead to Rome" reflects Rome's historical significance as the center of the mighty Roman Empire. The city is filled with numerous historical ruins. Today, you can still find traces of the grandeur and historical heritage of ancient Rome scattered throughout the city.

Rome is also known as the center of the Renaissance, where many great artists left their mark. Today, millions visit Rome to see Michelangelo's ceiling frescoes in the Sistine Chapel. The city can be considered a museum in itself.

But Rome is not just about its abundant art. You can find a wide variety of gourmet dishes beyond pizza and spaghetti, and enjoy the mild Mediterranean climate while traveling. Moreover, the friendly and warm people make it feel like a home away from home.

| Recommended Travel Spots

01 Trevi Fountain

One of Rome's landmarks featured in numerous films such as "Roman Holiday." It is the largest Baroque-style fountain in Rome. At the famous Trevi Fountain, you’ll see many tourists tossing coins. There’s a legend that if you throw a coin over your left shoulder with your right hand, your wish will come true or you’ll return to Rome. Coins thrown into the fountain are used for the preservation and restoration of Rome's cultural heritage, so why not make a wish at the Trevi Fountain?

02 Colosseum

An iconic structure from ancient Rome and one of Rome’s most representative ruins. This amphitheater built during the Roman Empire could accommodate over 50,000 spectators, showcasing the advanced architectural skills of that era. However, as time has passed, much of its original structure has been lost, and restoration work is still ongoing. In the future, the Colosseum is expected to be utilized in more diverse ways!

03 Vatican City

The smallest independent city-state in the world. Although located within the city of Rome, it is a separate country. Despite its small size, Vatican City houses numerous masterpieces, including the Vatican Museums, the Sistine Chapel with Michelangelo’s famous ceiling frescoes, and St. Peter's Basilica, which is the largest church in the world. With always a large number of tourists, careful planning of your visit is essential.
