SURVIVAL TIPS from former KGY Internship Participant
on FLYING for the FIRST TIME
When Flying for the FIRST TIME
#1 Bring. A. Neck. Pillow. this is my first tip because I didn’t do this, biggest flying mistake ever. Especially since I was flying for 12 hours consecutively and I wanted to sleep comfortably.
#2 Have some water with you. The flight attendants will definitely give you a bottle of water but it’s nice to have one extra just in case (definitely if you don’t like a certain brand of water)
#3 Chewing gum, you will thank me and the god you believe in for that during turbulence. It won’t help completely but it will manage the pressure in your ears better than when you’re not chewing any gum.
#4 In addition to the neck pillow; BRING A SMALL BLANKET!!! They will be your lifesaver as a combination. You will sleep like a baby and the flight will be over in a blip.
MUST-KNOW Airports Hacks
#5 Keep all of your documents you need to show in one and the same place. Something like a small bag, don’t put it in your overly packed tote bag or shoulder bag with your toiletry things. This way you won’t have to scramble through all of your stuff before you finally find your passport.
#6 Make sure you have bought everything you need because after the check-in everything is harder to find (except for essentials) and you won’t be able to come back.
