    About the Provider

Founded in 1895, Le Cordon Bleu is a culinary school with over 100 years of tradition and experience and offers one of the world's top premium curricula.

Among them, Le Cordon Bleu in Paris, France, enjoys a worldwide reputation and produces outstanding professional chefs every year. Each year, students from about 40 countries visit to learn traditional French cuisine, giving you the opportunity to improve your culinary skills and make many international friends.

    Accommodation

Participants can freely choose accommodation within the Florence area of the internship location according to their personal preferences and budget.

If project participants have difficulty finding accommodation,

Korea Gap Year will recommend accommodations (guesthouses/hotels, etc.) near the internship site.

    1. Homestay

A stay in a local family's home where students can learn the country's culture and language. By living with the family and communicating with them, they can improve their language skills and gain an understanding of local lifestyles, values, and cultural practices.

    2. Guesthouse

Guesthouses are accommodations where the kitchen, bathroom, and shower are shared. Rooms may be assigned as 4-person or 6-to-8-person rooms, with multiple people staying in the same room. When traveling briefly to another country, travelers often stay in guesthouses and share stories and travel information with a variety of other travelers during short encounters.

    3. Shared apartment

An apartment share is accommodation in which about 5–6 international students rent a house and live together. Depending on the condition of the house, residents can choose a private room or share a room with a roommate. Unlike a homestay, it is not a family setting; residents share household chores such as cooking, cleaning, and laundry with their housemates. It has the advantage of allowing residents to socialize with friends from various countries.

    Location Overview

    Region:France, Paris

Paris, the flagship city of France visited by millions of tourists every year, is a cultural and tourist city that boasts world-renowned high-end cuisine and a wealth of artworks. Wherever you travel in France, you can taste the distinctive dishes of each region, andit is also a place where you can enjoy world-class fashion, museums, and more.

It also has world-renowned landmarks that captivate visitors from around the world, such as the Eiffel Tower, the Louvre Museum, Notre Dame Cathedral, and the Champs-Elysees. A stroll along the Seine to admire the Eiffel Tower's night view will also become an unforgettable memory.

    1. Eiffel Tower

When the Eiffel Tower was first built, many Parisians called the massive lump of iron ugly and wanted it torn down immediately. However, over time it became the landmark most associated with Paris. Built to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the French Revolution, the approximately 300-meter-high Eiffel Tower offers a stunning night view from the Trocadero, and viewing Paris's nightscape from the tower's observation deck provides another enchanting memory.

    2. Bordeaux Winery Tour

The combination of French cuisine and a glass of wine! How about leaving the somewhat bustling city and touring France's small towns to learn about wine? A winery is a place where grapes are cultivated and the harvested grapes are aged to make wine. Go on a winery tour in France's regions and taste their unique, local wines. Tasting wine at a winery and spending a night in a castle where French nobility once stayed will create unforgettable memories.

    3. Strasbourg

Strasbourg became known to many through the Europe episode of the TV show 'Grandpas Over Flowers,' where four grandfathers visited. The city's sovereignty changed hands several times between France and Germany during wars before finally becoming part of France, and you can easily find traces of Germany throughout the city. The charming architecture evokes a fairy-tale village, and taking a river cruise along the banks to explore the storybook town will be a cherished memory.
