Korea GapYear Content Copyright & Marketing Usage Policy

We would like to provide information regarding the copyright ownership and marketing usage of content related to Korea GapYear.

 


1. Ownership of Korea GapYear Content

All rights to the content published on the Korea GapYear official website and official blog are owned by Korea GapYear.


2. Copyright of Submitted Content

For photos and content submitted to Korea GapYear, copyright remains with the original creator. Any legal responsibility arising from infringement of third-party intellectual property rights related to the submitted photos or content shall rest solely with the content provider.


3. Use of Submitted Content for Marketing Purposes

Photos and content submitted to Korea GapYear may be uploaded to the official website and official blog, and may also be used for promotional and marketing purposes across Korea GapYear’s official channels, including but not limited to Facebook, YouTube, and Instagram.


4. Consent for Gap Year–Related Content

For content explicitly related to Korea GapYear initiatives, such as Gap Year Reviews or “100 Gap Years”, submission of such content shall be deemed as consent that the contributor agrees with Korea GapYear’s mission and purpose, and acknowledges that the content may be used in various formats to promote and spread Gap Year culture.


5. Editorial Modifications

When submitted content is used on the Korea GapYear website, official blog, or related platforms, Korea GapYear may, without prior consent, make minor edits such as:

  • Correction of typos or spacing

  • Modification of inappropriate wording

  • Partial softening or adjustment of expressions

provided that the original meaning and intent of the content are not altered or distorted.


6. Content Protection and Ethical Considerations

To protect the dignity, rights, and personal interests of content contributors, Korea GapYear may, without prior consent, edit or remove parts of content that may be generally difficult to accept or sensitive, as long as such actions do not change or damage the original meaning or intent of the content.


7. Unauthorized Commercial Use

Any commercial use of Korea GapYear’s images, content, or materials without prior consultation or permission constitutes a violation of copyright law and may be subject to legal penalties in accordance with applicable laws, including Article 24 of the Trademark Act.
